A couple months back, I received some information about a juried show on the Gulf Coast for residents of the 5 states affected by Hurricane Katrina. I did some research and found out that it was put on by a Potters/ceramics Association, but the show was open to all media. I thought "Well, here's the perfect opportunity to enter my Katrina piece and represent woodturners amoungst all those potters";). It got accepted and the reception was this past Friday evening. I got this nice little surprise when I walked in the front door. :)
