Does anyone know of an online site that has decent descriptions on the applications and properties of western hand saws?
i.e
half-back saws
differences between carcass saws and tenon saws
panel saws, ect?
I am trying to understand tpi, rake and other particulars in reference to hand work and woods.
Thanks everyone!

Vintage Saws has most of that.

Otherwise the only real difference between a dovetail and small, 8" tenon saw...and also a large backsaw and a carcase saw...is usually the seller. They describe what the saws were intended to do more than length, shape or tpi.
