Made this for the manager of the flooring and countertop store where I shop. It's made out of pear and has a walnut oil finish on it. It's going to the engravers now for the bride & grooms name and the inscription " With this ring I thee wed"

I am sure that this will find a special place in their hearts and home (I am always surprised and pleased at how much people appreciate hand made personalized stuff),

Can we assume that you got a really good deal on some flooring and/or counter tops? Outstanding service, maybe? Just a thought.

Thanks for the comments, they are always welcomed and appreciated.
Richard, this store opened up at about the same time we were building our house back in 1984. The manager came around looking for potential business and gave us a good deal on flooring and countertop. We have being doing business with him every since with excellent service and products. That is hard to find in todays market.

Bobby,
Sounds to me like a darned good reason for a nice wedding gift. Until we moved some months ago, I used to enjoy and appreciate being greeted by name and treated more like a friend than a customer at our local business establishments. Same way my wife treated clients of her small business. It mostly seems too impersonal and competitive these days for some of us.

What a great wedding gift. Its the gifts like your goblet that the happy married couple will remember and cherish for their entire lives.

Great work. Once you get the inscription complete, please post.

Wow, would like to know how you turned the locked rings onto each other like that.
