You guys who deal with Walt know what I'm talking about. Are there other guys who go out and buy and resell tools and put up a good, detailed, up-to-date site of tools at reasonable prices?

I check Walt's site at the beginning of every week, and have found it's easier for me to get tools from him in most cases than it is for me to go find them.

I know of nobody who can find tools like Walt can! Just keep buying from him - his prices are good, and he knows his stuff!

David,

Walt is a stand up guy, I too have bought a few things from him.

Try Sandy Moss, another great guy to deal with, and he sells by old tool terms! Sandy. (http://www.sydnassloot.com/tools.htm)

I have not bought anything from the fellow, but have conversed by e-mail with him on a few things. He does not update his site very often, but seems to have a-lot of tools. He also sells by old tool terms, so I would not hesitate to buy from him. Akbar and Jeff's Tool Hut (http://www.workingtools.biz/)

If you are interested in old saws, there is a guy in Florida, who hangs out at another forum, and usually has nicely tuned and sharpened saws at good prices. He does not have a web site, so PM me if you want his contact info.

There are lots of other folks out there, just Google old tools or vintage tools.

Go here:

for a list on pretty well known internet dealers. Take a look around and you can decide what is "reasonable" for you.

I've purchased plenty from Tony Murland in the UK. He sells an excellent product. It's always well described and the planes come packaged well. The prices online are in US including delivery. A good guy. I've been eyeing the quad reeding plane by Buck for a few weeks. He kills me with what he has from time to time. Here's a link.

Clint Jones here is Arkansas is also a very active tool hunter. He is a member of SMC and will generally find anything you are looking for. I don't think he has a website though, but I know that he puts his stuff on eBay, look for a seller junkerjones.

David,

I would reccommend Walt or Lynn Dowd http://www.dowdstools.com/index.htm . They are both stand up guys and have reasonable prices. If you need something that isnt on their website just give them a call Im sure they have it or probably can find it.

I dont have a website but I do have a couple of planes and always can find something to sell if you need something in paticular.
