When making a crosscut on a wider board, say 12"-15" wide, would I be better off using an 80T(Freud LU85R010) crosscut blade or a 50T(Freud LU84R011) combination blade?

You don't mention how thick or what type of wood. As a rule, more teeth will yield a cleaner cut. I use a 80T for all crosscuts. Ok, not ALL; I have a full kerf 60T that I use on soft 2-by lumber.

Did you say what machine you are using?

Dave,

IMHO, both blades would work. If your looking for a finer crosscut result on your edges I would go with the 80T. You did not say what type of board. If the board is say, laminate shelving then you need look at speciality blade. In My Humble Opinion.
