Turned from a Y in an Ash branch. 7" x 7" with deft lacquer finish. Lots of bug holes, bark, and one side missing.

That is a beauty Curt. Did that thing have a pucker factor like my maple burl did? Very well done.

Your piece is missing something but I can't quite put my finger on it. Oh that's it...the side is missing!!!

That's a real beauty there!

What system are you using for hollowing? Did you have the cutter rotated to shear cut rather than scrape?

Nice piece Curt, a real beauty! I wouldn't have the guts to try something like this. How do you keep the block balanced with one side missing?
