made from a very punky piece of box elder. 9.5 X 4 the bottom is round..it wobbles a bit..
not at all sure about the end result of this effort..its different. :)

Ah Ha I should have done a more thorough search for the pic. looks good Tom some great coloration in that wood.

That is pretty wood! Very unique, a bit thick, but if you were going for that it works.:)

This bowl was purposely left "thick". I like to think of it as chubby, plump, but pleasing. I used one of those Rembrandt nudes as my model. Folks had different ideas about what they consider pleasing back then. They liked a little meat on the bone, so to speak. This is also why I rounded out the bottom...its a very modern thing to prefer flatter bottoms. :D
