A little mesquite

Been playing with some of my smaller and slightly cracked rough outs to try some new things. This is a 4 3/4 x 2 mesquite that I put a bead on to embellish. Finish is Minwax Antique oil buffed out.

I am pretty happy with the way this little guy turned out, but would love to get you guy's input.

Very nice Mike! Love the bead, but to my (inexperienced) eye it seems to be missing something. Maybe on the next one include a bead in the lip too? Not a critisism really, just wondering what it would look like.

I had the opportunity to see it last night and let me say that the photo doesn't really do this little bowl justice. Not picking on your pic, too much ;)
But really, this bowl has very crisp lines at the rim and at the bead. Very nice tool work, we all know how easy sandpaper messes up those little beads... or is that just me?

Pete - Yes I did use a beading tool to make the beads. I picked up two sizes a little while ago and just got around to playing with them. Seem to work good and are very easy to use.
