Purpleheart finish?

Whats the best finish to put on purpleheart? Is there anything that will keep it purple without turning it dark? Thanks.

depends on the wood. some purpleheart stays purple some will change with light. if the wood turns brown when you cut it it will change at some time in it's life. on those woods a water based finish will help and using a UV blocking finish would help.
