I have been busy turning box elder as I have about 300 lbs of it left on the apron of the garage. I really lilke this wood and the grain and colors are amazing. Sizes 3 x 8 3/4, 7 3/4 x 2, 7 3/8 x 2 1/2, 6 5/8 x 2 1/4.

Comments welcomed

Great looking bowls Steve. Nice form and finish. The last couple of box elder pieces I have turned have been awful cracky for some reason even DNAing them. Well done.

OK, Steve, that's enough with the box elder:D . Just pack the rest of it up and send it to me, as you've done enough, and I'll dispose of the rest of it for you!!:D :D

Seriously, those are some very pretty bowls--that wood just talks and talks and talks. Nice work.

Great looking bowls and I don't see any cracks. How did you dry them? I just recently posted my troubles with DNA drying box elder bowls and would love to make some that don't look like strainers.

Great bowls Steve. Another box elder fan here - never quite know what colors and/or curl you're going to find.
Nice job.

Nancy,
Must have missed something (happens a lot). Is that the number of days until your new Stubby or Robust lathe is delivered? Hope it arrives in excellent condition and meets your expectations.
