Hi I was wondering where you'll get the boxes/rolls of sand paper for your performax. Any place thats a pretty good price? Do you order online?

I know I can get it here at Western Tool Supply.

Thanks

Give SuperMax a call. They bought the large line of sanders from Jet. I heard they have good prices.

Whos supermax sorry...

I just checked amazon $107 for 180 grit roll. Yikes! Only 8 wraps!
I just got to an end of a box and there was one wrap left but it was too short by at least a foot?

I bought some from an ebay member named flatlander01. His prices could not be beat for the 22-44 rolls.

I have had good luck with the 50 yard (150 foot) rolls from www.sandpaperworks.com (http://www.sandpaperworks.com) - about $55 postpaid - not to be confused with the 50 foot rolls from some vendors.

I noticed that the Klingspor 50 meter rolls were now only slightly more expensive at their retail outlet www.woodworkingshop.com (http://www.woodworkingshop.com)

I also buy mine from Amazon. I even buy the pre cut. A little more but it save a pain in the butt and if you use a good eraser, each strip can last quite a while.

I used some stuff from Supergrit on the Delta drum sander I used to have and found that they broke too easily. It could just have been the stuff I got, but I wouldn't order too much from them without trying it first.

Nothing wrong with Supergrit--they are great people and I've been happy with everything else I got from them.

As far as measuring and trimming the ends--What I did was make a mark on my DP table. I knew that say, 3 full lenghts of the DP table plus from the end to that mark was long enough for one strip. That way I could measure quickly. Then I used a scrap of phenolic to make a template to trim the ends with a razor knife.

I think I got my rolls' from klingspor.

I just took a piece of scrap wood and made a full sized template for the strip, along with cutting instructions written on it (to make sure I created the strip with the angled cuts going the right way.
