Does anyone know if they make 1" plywood? Would I be able to order it from a dealer? I know they made it because I've seen it. I got a piece from behind a dumpster so I know it was available but recently someone asked me to do a project for them where extra thick plywood would really help.

Yes they do. At least in oak plywood.

Yes, 1" plywood is available -- here at least. I've bought 1" maple, and 25 mm baltic birch. 25 mm finnply is also available.

If you need you can always laminate 3/4 and 1/4 together.

If you laminate those two sizes where I live....you will be well SHORT of 1":(

I've seen BB ply in thicknesses like that...and you should be able to order it from a sheet goods supply or full service yard.

Even though it would be less then 1", if you laminate the two pieces together (2x 1/2") with some steel bars running vertically in some grooves between them, that should give you some strenght.
You can find directions for it listed as a Mr. Sawdust table.
Just another option.

I can get it here in exterior fir that measures 31/32".
It's often required by seismic codes for corner sheath bracing.
