I built some boxes for fellow muzzleloader shooting friends. Here are some samples:
70252
The wood is southern yellow pine. I resaw it from 2x8s from the BORG. This way I can get make it rift sawn with fewer knots.
70253
The basic case is 3/8 inch. I used the STOTS JIG to make the dovetails.
70254
This one is made from aromatic cedar. In both cases the wood is pretty soft but these are not banged around very much and have held up well.
70254
The box joints on this one were made with a Lynn's jig on a sled on my router table. The tray on both of them are 1/4 inch. The hardware is from Lee Valley and finished with Minwax poly.
