hey there
anyone know of a supplier where i can get bamboo ply? i found a place in california - they wanted 112 per 4x8 sheet. plus they are in cali - im in nj - sorta a long drive.

I cant seem to find any place near me i can just go pick up woods or good ply - not in the quantities im looking at anyway. the few that are close seem to be overpriced.

thanks again!

google Bettencourt Green Products. They're in NYC but may have a warehouse nearby. I got the plyboo for my cabinets from them.

(reread your msg - this is probably one of the too expensive suppliers).

A NJ wholesale vendor is listed here:

Perhaps you could contact them for the name of a local retailer. As to the price...this stuff ain't cheap!

+1 for Bettencourt if Brooklyn is close enough. Good people.

they wanted 112 per 4x8 sheet.

Bamboo grows like weeds in our back yard. I'm always having to trim it back because it grows so fast. At $112/sheet, maybe I should go into the bamboo ply business.:D

Good luck on your search.

You would not believe the technology involved in turning this "weed" into useable material! Bamboo may be "green" but the process of converting it into sheets and "boards" is anything but....
