Router edge guide suggestions wanted

I just picked up a Bosch 1617EVSPK and want to add an edge guide. Bosch sells one, the RA1054. Does anyone have any other suggestions or thoughts on the RA1054 as a guide for basic router tasks such as cutting mortises, rabbets, and shaping edges?

I heard that Porter Cable Edge Guide (http://www.amazon.com/Porter-Cable-42690-Guide-Models-Routers/dp/B0000222V9/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-9997593-5347600?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1187370406&sr=8-1) can be used for Bosch 1617 router but requires a slight modification to fit. I wish I could remember where I saw it posted.:(

I have an RA1054 that I use in both the fixed and plunge bases for the 1617 router motor. I have no real fondness for any edge guide I've ever used, but the 1054 is probably about as good for those tasks as any of the other single edge referenced guides.

I find that I use it most often as a circle guide and as an edge guide only when I can't make the cut on my router table.
