Hello,
Please could someone point me in the right direction of the article showing the picture of the indexing fixture for making curved inlays for pens.

The article by Ron Sardo shows how it is done, but it is not done with a jig.
If that is not what you are talking about please show a picture and someone can tell you how it is done.

There is a good article in the current issue of Woodturning Design magazine that might help. Basically the author stacks and bandsaws two pen blanks. Then mis-matches the pieces from each blank to combine the woods.
