I just bought one of these sanders for $20.00. I think I made a pretty good deal! I have been looking all over the internet for any info on it and have found nothing. Anyone else have one? Any idea when it was made? I had another old Skil model belt sander that was stolen a few years and am thrilled to have found another one similar to it.

As long as the belt tracks, it has enough power, and the motor lasts through few belts I would say 20 bucks is more than fair for a belt sander.

Michael, I take it that you are not familiar with this sander. I looked up the Patent number and it was patented in 1942. It weighs 24 lbs. It was made when they were makin 'em. It will outlast any of the sander built today.

Anyone know where one could find a replacement cork shoe for the Skil 323? T

No, but Woodworker's Supply and others sell a graphite material that makes a far better shoe. I had one on my Skil model ZP, and it worked fine.
