I just noticed Gary Herrmann's thread (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=60806) about a workbench at Sam's and thought I'd mention that I've seen a similar one at the Costco near me. The one at the store looks different from the one on their website (and also a bit different from the one at Sam's). I think the top, a butcher block slab of wood, is 2' x 8' and around 1.5" thick. I can't recall the height. The base is welded steel with leveling feet. The top is plain--you'd have to add your own vise(s) and dogholes but it looks pretty nice and it's around $200. They have a nice very big steel tool case too for around $700 or so (I think Mark Singer got one of those a few yrs ago and likes it). I don't generally find too many great tools at Costco but every now and then something catches my eye.
