Now these are really sweet!
Has anyone ever made a scraper plane that size? I could imagine using one to finish small scale work (boomerangs in my case).

Made, no. But I do use a brass scraper plane about an inch and a half long from St James Bay for fine shaving mandolin braces. Works a treat.

I like the tone of the writing. Particularly the last few paragraphs. Quote from last line of text;
"Further details are not available but it is believed that Alan has checked into the Betty Ford Center for Toolahaulics, we hope for a quick recovery."

Torch the clinic, treatment is not necessary. Come children . . . into the dark . . .
