This piece measures 6x6'' with an antique oil finish on it. Got to love the color of the walnut. Comments welcome.

Mike

I'm not crazy about the ne opening on this one but the rest of the vessel is great. I love the shape and the mix of sap to heart is wonderful. Very nice finish as well.

NICE!:
Form
Finish
Great orientation... Looks like a wave rolling under the sap wood or a cloud rolling in over the heartwood.

Mike that's a knockout! Normally I worry about knuckle busting on NEs but this looks like a finger slicer/dicer!

Beautiful Mike..!!!!! Very nice turning. However, I can't say that I'm crazy about the NE opening, but it is different and it's growing on me. :)

I'd love to see some different perspectives on this. The execution of the NE is unique in my experience. Overall I think it is a great form with well placed contrasts.

Love it! Maybe when I grow up I can do something like that. Forget it:(, I don't think growing up will ever happen, but I will still be able to strive toward something like your HF.:D

Simply a gorgeous form... it has a lot of nice curves and a lot of movement happening with the grain. There is also some great contrast with the heartwood and sapwood. As I am a fan of natural edges, I really like the mouth... Excellent work!
