Hey All,

This bowl was finish-turned before I got the chance to apply any of the tips/techniques from my previous bowls, so please don't think I'm ignoring all the great advice.

It's from the same tree as my first bowl. It's a busy piece of wood with some spalting, some curling, some worm damage, and a lot of nice colors. The finish (sanding) obviously has problems, but I'm working on it.

If you recall, the first bowl I turned had a somewhat disproportional foot. I'm not in love with this one either, but I do think it's closer to where it needs to be.

It's sanded to 220, BLO and buffed. 7.5" wide and 2" tall.

Thanks in advance.

Alex - I like your bowl! Beautiful wood! Love the color, voids, curl and wavy grain! Lots going on in this one! As far as the foot - you will play games with that subject for quite awhile - to high, to low, no foot, etc. This time around the foot is high enough to appear as a small pedistal lifting the bowl off the table. I like it. Overall - nice work!
