The LOML committed me to turning yet another bowl for a wedding gift. Sorry for the blurred pic and poor photo's but my nice digital camera isn't working and these pics were taken with my daughters digital camera.

This is Spalted Yellow Poplar:
14" across by 6" tall
Finish is Watco Danish Oil, then 2 coats of wipe-on Poly.

Very nice bowl.

What brand of wipe on poly do you use? Does that add a glossier look than just a danish oil finish?

Dennis, that bowl is BEAUTIFUL!!! Lucky couple to be getting a Peacock original!!

Looks like cameras will be on the Peacocks' Christmas lists!!

Me liketh. Almost looks like osb with the spalting throughout. Nice color, patters, and form. Good Job!!

Thats a very nice looking bowl. I haven't had a lot of luck turning poplar. I always get way to much tear out. Well done.

Fantastic piece! You have to wonder if that tree was born just for this Bowl. Great wood selection, form and finish.
