I'm needing some 3/8" t-nuts. They're 2 for 98 cents at HD  and I could use 40 or 50 of the little things. Anyone know a decent on line supplier? I've seen them as low as 20 cents each, but the shipping works out to another 26 cents each. Kind of kills the deal. Thanks for any help you can offer! Jim.

Which style of T nut?

Ones that are referred to as T slot nuts, or Barrel nuts?

I'd start with McMaster Carr.

Jim, Woodworker's Supply has them in bags of 10 for $3.49 per bag, 5 bags would cost you $6.95 in shipping. Item #866-763. Price drops to $3.09 per bag if you order 10.

Woodworker's Hardware has them for $0.14 each in quantities of 100. I put 100 in a cart and calculated shipping to me and it came to $20.95.

Sorry, I wasn't clear, after I've griped here at the computer about most of the returns on my searches being for the t-slot nuts! I need the style with the prongs that dig into the wood. Is that called the barrel type? I got the MC suggestion from another forum also, and had thought about them, but not gone there for some unknown reason. Thanks!

Nancy, I had looked there, but didn't see any 3/8". I'll go look again in a minute. Oh, and I fixed your count down for you!

Matt, do they have bags of 50??:D Thanks for the info, I'll head there to look too.
Thanks all! Jim. (who has a self imposed 1 Dr. Pepper per day rule, that is about to be broken.)

check a local fastener shop in the yellow pages.

you should be able to find them for 12-14 cents each, have them the same day, and not have to pay shipping.

I think Mike wins the prize! :D The link wouldn't work for me but if you go to http://www.mcmaster.com and enter 90975A059 in the search it will find them.

Update. McMaster Carr has the best price I've found so far. I'll probably opt for the 6 prong version Mike gave the web page for as they are only 7 cents more for a bag of 50. They also have the hex socket leveling studs for pretty cheap. Gets me 50 of each for under 20 bucks, then add shipping. That way I can use a hex wrench from underneath to do the leveling. Judging on the PVC fittings I ordered shipping should be 6 or 8 dollars. Sure wish they would put a shipping estimator on their site! Jim.

Mcmaster-Carr is fast at shipping too. If we order at work in the AM we'll have it the next afternoon and that's really fast because our receiving dept. is slow to get us stuff. I'm surprised they were the cheapest though.

Check the Fastenal website. They may even have a store local to you.

David, they do have them, but IIRC you had to get a lot more than I need, or they were more expensive. I ordered a pkg of 50 from Mcmaster Carr for 6.95 plus shipping. Got some other items while I was at it. Thanks for the note!
If I had gotten Sam's PM before I ordered, I would have relieved him of a few. :D Jim.

Ok, shipping cost for the 50 pack of tee nuts, and a 12 pack 3 1/2" long adjustable feet for shop carts, etc, is 6.00. I think that's fair! One place I mentioned above on the 50 pack of the smaller size tee nuts was 3.65, and it was half, or less than half, what most of the others charged. I'm sure the adjustable feet weigh a lot more than the tee nuts do! And the shipment is on time and due tomorrow. Being that they shipped on Monday, that's realistically only 2 days to get it here from Atlanta. Pretty good service! Jim.

Call a local fastener supply place, they can usually beat any one price on those types of hardware. If it was 1/4" inch I'd tell you to go to partexpress, even my fastener supplier can't beat thier price.

Mike, Partsexpress is one of the places that turned up in my internet serches. I think you are right, and they don't have anything bigger than the 1/4". Lot's of dealers had those. In the end, McMaster-Carr had the best price on the 3/8" I was looking for, and a fair price on the shipping, especially when I ordered the 12 pack of levelling feet. Only price better would have been Sam's offer at the price he quoted me. Just wish I hadn't already ordered from MC when it came in. Except, I don't think he had the levelling feet in stock. But I could be wrong. :D
But yes, Partsexpress has some decent prices and IIRC, shipping was reasonable. Jim.
