mesquite jar

This is some mesquite from Arizona a friend gave me. At the time I had no way to chuck this up to get the top and bottom cleaned. This piece has no finish, just sanded to 1200, 0000 steel wool, then buffing compound.

Nice! Mesquite polishes up pretty nicely without any finish at all doesn't it?

What did you hollow the interior with?

4" tall, Don't ask how i hollowed it out. It was really scarry!! RNS extended over the tool rest a good distance.:eek:

Good looking piece of mesquite there Tyler. Great looking jar. With a RNS. Not sure I would have attempted that myself but looks like it turned out fine.
