Walnut-Mulberry-Osage Orange. Of these the Walnut turning is the largest being 5.5"H x 4"W. The Mulberry is from a wormy burl.

Gary,
I find all of those forms and woods very pleasing. I don't believe I've ever seen mulberry turned before. Very interesting grain. Thanks for posting - gives me some ideas.

Great looking pieces Gary. I really like the walnut. Very well done.

The Mulberry was from a VERY OLD Mulberry Burl cap. Hard as steel. No finish on the mulberry and didn't have to sand it either. The Walnut is a HF that I parted to hollow, AKA Clay Foster's demo at the Portland symposium. Not as good as Clay's IMHO, but not bad for a first try. I have lots of Walnut to practice on.

Nice work Gary! I like each one of them but really like the effect the cracks has on the osage! The only suggestion I have is for you to start posting more of your work!

I really like the mulberry. I thought it was more yellow though. Does it turn brown after time like the osage? Or am I off base here.

As you can see it does turn a cocoa brown with age, UV sensitive.
