I've got some 2" thick Eucaliptus lumber. About 8-10" wide, and 10' long.
What's this stuff good for? I'd like to make some money off of it.
Should I sell it as is? Should I resaw it thin?

As always in this situation, the wood is WORTHLESS and will infest all your wood with weird PP beetles, termites, etc. Send it to me for proper disposal! :p

Is it true "euca" or the rosy tinted Lyptus variety? Lyptus is a plantation grown hardwood. I like the looks of the raw wood, but haven't done any projects with it, so I don't know what it looks like finished. Lyptus used to be super cheap when it came out to build market, but I think the price has climbed to close to maple/cherry over the years?

It is worthless trash.. And that is why I am going to drive (from NJ) over to your place right now and help you out by taking it off your hands.

You can thank me after I am out of sight.

C'mon it's a pretty wood. Make something from it.

Russ, this is rosey colored, so I'll bet it's the Lyptus variety.
In general it seems I get more $$ from my wood (board foot wise), when I resaw it. Ever hear of scrollers or knife makers using it?
