Just picked up my b-day present today. The WC guys got it in my car and I used a two-2x4 ramp to get it out on my own (265 lbs). All went well.

Now, I have to figure out what to do with the "shop" to have room to set it up! What a wreck...

Congrats on both counts Patrick. My shop looks just as bad it is just lacking plastic sheeting.

Happy Birthday, your shop almost looks as messy as mine. Be sure to give us a reveiw of the Rikon after you have time to set up and use it.

The plastic sheeting is only there b/c otherwise there's be hell to pay with the dust on the rest of the family's stuff. Soon I'll be emptying everything out, putting up an actual wall (plywood so I can screw into it) and rearranging everything. At least half of the garage is better than being out on the driveway...:o

I will. I plan to rearrange the shop before I set up the new saw, but I've said that before. I'll share my comments when I try it out.

Patrick,
Happy new saw!
Consider OSB for your wall (maybe cheaper than plywood?). Also consider insulation, and where to put the opening for window unit A/C-Heater for your shop area. Just a thought.

Wow, that's some b'day present you have there! Enjoy!
And you only THINK your shop is a "wreck." Imagine all of that with half the floor space, and the whole thing covered in wood shavings.

You'll never get that thing put in there with room to use it! Ship it to me and I'll put it to good use.
Nice gloat. Congrats, wish I was in your shoes having to unload a gloat like that!!!
