I have a laminatied maple work bench top 24"X72". When I add an apron will I have to account for any movement of the top?
How wide are the aprons usually?
Thank you.

Yes, maple is a quite unstable wood and will expand/contract with any long term change in relative humidity. You wll have to allow for this wood movement for cross grain attachment.

Work benches generally don't have aprons. What is the thickness of your tabletop?

It is 1 1/2".
