This is a piece of Sycamore that I intended to use for a bowl, but when I got to the top and saw the marks/color I decided to just do a hollow form instead. Hated to turn all that away... it ended up 10" wide and 5-1/2" tall. Buffed wipe-on poly is the finish. Comments/critiques/opinions/suggestions are welcomed.

Very nice work, Mark. I think you made the right decision to go with a HF instead of a bowl for this piece of wood!

That's beautiful, Mark. I really like this one. Is that a collar on it or is it burned around the opening?

Thanks all... that "collar" is just a burned rim...
Gary, I use a homemade Jamieson type rig with Scorpion bars.

Beautiful job Mark. That sycamore is a bit darker than I woulda thought. That's a nice color.
