Picked up a Bocote blank at Woodcraft in Clearwater, FL a while back and finally got round (little pun there) to doing something with it. Just a little wax and buffing, the wood does not need any help!

I've turned both bottlestoppers and pens from bocote but never something that big. Nicely done Paul.

Bocote is one of my favorites for "exotics" to turn. You can see why when you look at this piece...beautiful stuff!

I'd have to agree that the wood doesn't need any help except exposure. Nice job.
