This one measures 7 3/4'' tall and 2 1/2'' wide at the top. Walnut and maple with Leopard Wood stem. Lacquer finish. I think this came out pretty good, but looking back at it now I think the bottom radius needed to be a little tighter. Comments welcome.

I think if it were me. I would have liked the base to be flatter. It almost looks like a goblet on both ends. Love the top design and form. I still would have it on my shelf over the ones I have done though. SOOOO....

That's an unusual combination of woods but it looks pretty neat. All the straight lines break the curve or all the curves break the straight lines. Whichever it is, it looks good. I like the shape of the goblet overall too.

Very nice Mike. I do agree the bottom could be just a little more petite but I like the design and combination of the top very much. Good job.

Mike...

Very nice...I'm partial to segmented "things."

Can you share how you did the finish?

Thanks

I applied 2 coats of lacquer while turning, sanding with 1000 grit between coats.
