Came in today, and finished getting it together late this evening. Very quite and very heavy. I hope to make smaller pieces of wood tomorrow.

Congratulations! If you have the same experience I have had, you will be grinning for quite some time!
UM, if you are going to use your knockout bar on the headstock, you will probably have to move the lathe away from the wall a little (I did when I set mine up).

Way to go, Gary! Hope you enjoy your 3520 as much as I am enjoying mine.

If that plywood is there as a wall, you might want to move the lathe out from it a little, to make it a little easier to use that huge knockout rod.

If you look closely at the pic, I already have/had a piece of Maple in a chuck and already got it round. I wasn't going to turn it on to see how quiet it was without seeing how much noise I could cause.

Hey...that looks like a lathe! I guess you're now a member of the Mustard Club...a large and growing sub-culture that aims to take over the world. :D :D :D

You lucky dog! I'm saving/selling/scraping, doing anything I can to get some mustard in my shop. If you don't mind, where did you buy and how much did you give? It'll be a couple months for me, but I'm trying to find the best deal! Once again, congrats!

Jerry there are several places to purchase the mustard but I did what several others have done and called TOOLNUT for a price quote. What I did was to find a vendor(seller on Ebay who has a direct ship contract with Powermatic in my case) and offered his selling price to TOOLNUT. Within a few hours Bob at TOOLNUT replied and sold me the lathe for less than I could have bought it on Ebay. So, find a good price somewhere and give TOOLNUT a call. My lathe shipped very fast(received it in 3 business days). Hope you are able to make the plunge.
