Does anyone know if the Freud dial-a-width dado will fit on the Dewalt 746 or not?

Thanks

To be able to cut a full width dado the arbo length needs to be 1 1/8" plus the thickness of the nut.

For an arbor length less than the above the calculation of maximum dado width is: The hub takes up 7/32" of arbor so the calculation is: Total Arbor Length - 7/32" - Nut Thickness = Maximum Dado Width (up to the manufacturer's stated maximum width).

Thanks Howard, I guess I can't use the full width of the dado set on this saw.

Liem,

There are not a lot saws that will allow for the maximum cut of 29/32". The formula that Howard gave for determining the max you can get on your saw is the best way to determine if you can get a wide enough cut for your intended applications.

Thanks Charles, I've already placed an order.
