I'm ready to order hinges for my kitchen cabinets and have some questions. These are for face frame cabinets, 1/2in. overlay. I'm looking at the Blum Compact 33 (110 degree) and Compact 38 (105 degree) hinges.

Is there an advantage to one over the other?

Best price I've seen so far is cabinetparts.com. Any other suggestions?

TIA

John,

The 38 series are adjustable by cams... makes it easier to adjust the doors. We use them fairly often for 'full overlay' face frame cabinets... but if you are only using 1/2"... I prefer the clip-top 110deg. hinge, It is stronger, more adjustable, and does not have the breakage that we have happen every once in a while with the compact series.
