I'm looking for ideas on how to reuse old planer/jointer blades (for something other than as planer/jointer blades).:)

Tearing/cutting edges for paper goods dispensers?
Marking knives?

plane irons? prolly too hard but I dont know.

shims for machines on crooked shop floor

My dad made a whole series of turning tools from old Parks planer knives. He didn't remove much of the edges, either, so (with my poor turning skills) I never used them.
I made a kraut cutter (mandolin) once from a 6" jointer knife.
