Bread usually goes through a metal detector before being sent to stores. Perhaps they found one to not be working well and this is precautionary.
I'm surprised the bread isn't being baked in china these days.

The metal flakes were coming from a flour sifting machine. So I'm guessing there was more than bread affected.....

Thanks for the post Mark. I don't buy Sara Lee products (except the pound cake about once every three years) but I did pass this along to family living in Southwest GA. The only grocery store in their town is an IGA - which stocks Sara Lee products packaged under the IGA name, as well as Sara Lee branded products.
