I am considering this purchase today at woodcraft, please tell me the dust collection is great!

Or if not I wonder if it could be modified for a second port near the lower guides - like a 2 1/2" adapter or something.

Thanks.

What would your alternative be? If you're after the features of the 10-325 I wouldn't let the possibility of having to do a little shop-built below table DC setup stop me. In an article about a BS 'guru' tuning a less than stellar BS he took the opposite approach. He actually blocked off the factory 2 1/2 at the blade throat and build a little cardboard channel to direct this dust into the lower chamber to improve the collection(?).

I had the same concerns, but they turned out to be baseless. My 10-325 is ~35' from the HF 2 HP DC with a straight run of 4" hose. If I don't forget to open the blast gate at the BS the DC is great. The suction in the lower compartment is directed to the lower guides by a small cutout in the cabinet under the guides. It's the best DC I have seen on a BS.
