Ask me next week, I just purchased one based on a review that I read on www.woodshopdemos.com (http://www.woodshopdemos.com) so it's John's fault if I'm not happy. :)

The quality is excellent and it looks great. What templates are you thinking of getting / using?

I'm using Blum hinges so I started with a 101 and a 102, but will probably add more.

Hopefully I'll use it on Sunday.

I also bought their router plate, it self centers and has the correct size collar. The most important part on the collar is that it can only be about 1/8 inch long.

I'm sure there are cheaper ways to do it, I just didn't want the fuss.

May I ask what king of router you intend to use?

I will be using my Bosch Colt trim router. I believe smaller is better, but I wouldn't hesitate to use another.

But if you have a trim router that's the way to go in my mind.

I have it and it works great, pretty much makes the operation dummy proof.

No, I think a plunge router would only complicate a simple operation.
