Well, they shipped from New York, but you get the idea from what I mean when I say Canada.
I got my LV medium shoulder plane today, with A2 blade  I haven't had a chance to sharpen it yet, but first impressions are very high.
For one
The casting is very heavy, in a good kind of way :D Nicely polished, free of any rough spots or anything, and just feels very ergonomic in both pushing and pulling positions. The blade that came packaged seperatly in a rust resistant bag, is not honed or polished, but is very accurately ground, and I will probably start it off on an extra fine Dimond Stone and take it up through my 4000, and 8000 grit Nornton stones and finish it off on some 1/2 micron microfinishing film.
My LN blade came ready for final pollishing, but this one isn't far from that.
This is a very impressive plane, I have no doubt it will be a top preformer.
I also picked up one of the plane sacks, a decent deal at 7 bucks.
Also of note I got a Nicolson #50 pattern-makers rasp, which I am going to make a handle for today, a microadjustible marking wheel, a ruler stop, magnetic jointer fence, and some other random things.
