Does anyone know what ABS is? Can I cut this with the laser and where do I get it?
Thanks,
Aleta

ABS is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, and is laserable. I find it to take more power/slower speed than acrylic, and the edges are not as smooth. Very stinky, too. I buy it from Tap Plastics, most often the black 1/8" and 1/4" with the pebble finish on one side.

Ain't that the truth! I have some scrap that I cut a couple of weeks ago and I can still smell it!

Great to know that it is laserable. I am wanting to cut backs for mirrored license plates. Is there something that helps the sticky? I will contact TAP and see if they have 1/16, if not maybe 1/8 will work.
Thanks for the info :)
