I am looking to store some finished bowls before giving them as gifts or selling them. At the present time I have them wraped in newspaper and stored in a cardoard box. Is this a good way or is there a better way. I do not want to damage them after spending the time and energy to make them. Thanx in advance

How long are you going to store them? They like to be able to breathe, especially if they aren't totally dry (to 6 to 8%). A cardboard box will be fine, and it can be open. Paper bags will work. You could also display them in the house, put them on a shelf in the garage, or even display them in the shop. A little dust won't hurt them.

I think the basics are

no plastic
avoid sunlight (if you don't want darkening)
avoid humidity changes (adds stress to the wood)Someone jump in if I'm wrong.

Patrick has pretty much got it. Joe I set mine on a towel and then cover them with a towel. I just leave it open so they can breath.
