Photo upload - stalled

When I am trying to upload photos from my desktop, it says "Uploading photos - Please Wait". Wait and wait I did with negative results. I walked away from the computer for 10 minutes and nothing. It seems to have stalled.

Photos are appropriate sizes and with appropriate extensions. Working on a Mac.
