I'm looking at a Devilbiss Transtech spray gun. Anybody have any experience with these??

Isn't "Trans-Tech" DeVilbiss speak for HVLP technology? I have a DeVilbiss FL3 that I really like. I've been using it to spray water based polys with a 1.8 tip. It can be had for around $100 and many different tip sizes are available and relatively inexpensive.

It's actually kind of a cross over between HVLP & conventional air spray. HVLP transfer efficiency with better atomization and a better quality finish.......

or so they say.

They also suggested a 1.4 tip for Minwax Polycrylic. I'm waiting on a call / visit from a Target Coatings rep & expecting to change over to their product shortly.

I'll keep you posted.
