Well, it won't win any awards. But I was trying to learn the "feel" of the hollowing setup and wanted to see if I could pull something off the lathe that resembled an attempt at a different form that I've never really done before to help me learn a bit more about hollowing. Many thanks to Mark C. for the wood donation.

7" tall by 5-1/2" across
Oil finish and a lite buffing

Very kewel, Dennis!!!!! And a nice choice on the form for the body of the piece. It's an "advanced" form (due to the sharp corner on the interior) that is so much easier to do with a captive hollowing system. Nice!

Looks really good Dennis! I really like the wood grain on this one! Also agree with Paul in that this would look really nice with a lid and finial!

Geez, some people just have the touch. You pick up a new tool to try and get the 'feel' and whip out a masterpiece on you first try. That's a beauty Dennis! Nice wood too.
