This little chunk of spalted Tulip Poplar ended up 6-1/2" wide and 4" tall. Wipe-on poly gave it a satin finish. The spalting resulted in some neat lines and some red coloring I haven't seen before.

Comments/critiques/suggestions/opinions welcomed.

Very pretty and very nice form. Can't tell if the bottom has a flat foot or is rounded?

Just a small somewhat flattened out spot on the bottom - just enough to keep it sittin' upright.

Thanks, Mark!
Spent half a lifetime (or so it seemed) in Fayetteville, and it felt like home.

Beauty Mark! I saw the first pic and thought 'nice wood', the Wow's started with the second and on to the end.

I did the same thing. That's some very unusual looking wood. And the form is a perfect Cothren as always.

Beautiful Mark I also thought it was a round bottom when I looked at it. Very well done.
