Everybody likes mesquite

so I thought I would give it a try on a box. This one is about 4 1/4 inchs high by 3 inchs at the base. I have had a lot of them blow up on me so was very pleased with this one. Still needs to be buffed, just haven't set up the buffer yet. This is from a branch from a tree in my front yard. There is a small crack in the pith that seems to be staying put so far but I will more than likely glue it before I buff it. Hope you like it.

Gotta love that sapwood/heartwood contrast! Mesquite is great fun for boxes & such.
