Anyone built the ShopNotes Blade Guard??

Issue 92 of ShopNotes had plans for a table saw blade guard with a dust collection hookup. Has anyone built it? If so, what size and type of spring did you use? The article mentions both a compression and extension spring. It seems to be an extension spring, but the size they suggest seems to be too small. Anyone have this guard up and running? If so, what springs did you use?

Do a search for this gaurd on another site, as I have seen pictures of completed ones. Key date is the week of 2/18/07
