All,

I just purchased a DeWalt laminate cutting blade for my circular saw (skil) from HD. The blade has a circular hole in the middle with a slight diamond shaped indentation. I need to remove this as my circ saw sits on that diamond shaped section. I guess these diamond shaped centers are old school, but still, it should be a little easier to remove. I just purchased a freud diablo blade, and was able to remove that same piece with a pair of pliers. The "helpful" attendant at HD said to put the blade on an vise opened as wide as the piece I wanted to remove, then take a chisel and hammer to those edges. I am worried I might damage the blade that way. I hope I am clear enough for you, as I am embarrassed enough just asking this question. Thanks for any assistance.
