I'm Really trying to get this program down but I have not been able to get this one figured out.
I Acquired an Image through the scanner. (Fancy Sun Cut out of wood)
In BMP format.

Converted to Bitmap (300 DPI, Gray Scale 8-Bit)

Traced to Logo.

Now I have the Sun in the screen with a Circle in the middle of the flame outline.

Now the question..
How do I go about separating the center circle from the outline of the sun.

I have tried to do this with some Scroll saw patterns with the same results...

Thanks
Stanley

Select -Arrange - Ungroup all Delete 1st Circle or move it -- Select again -- Arrange -- break apart -- move either piece.. Hope this helps

I don't have it in front of me, so I'm on guessing on this from memory.

Highlight the entire thing, find the "Convert to Curves" option in one of the drop down menus. Once that's done, you might have to go to the same menu, and select "break apart" or something to that affect. Then you should be able to edit each little nook and cranny. I'll be more specific when I get in front of the computer that has it on there.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Stanley:
To get rid of the center circle. First, be sure you have your Object Manager open so you can see that you have a Group of 2 objects. First of all Ungroup all from the Arrange menu. The move the circle away and delete it. Then select the sun object that is left and then select Arrange-Break Apart. Then delete the other curve (circle)

It works, It works. It worked the first time. And it was so simple.

The knowledge of many out weighs the knowledge of the newbie !

Thanks All
