Walking stick....

I was asked about this walking stick I'd made. To be honest, none of it was 'turned', but potential turning is there for a future one (now that I know what a lathe is for). I made this about 5 years ago with a snake that got just a WEE bit to close. I couldn't touch it to skin it, but hubby was accommodating in that area. I did tan it though :rolleyes: Anyway.... Not knowing how to go about things I leather glued it onto a willow stick, topped it with a boughten wood ball and tipped it with a piece of copper pipe. I've since been told to use epoxy for the gluing....

That's really cool. I've made some walking sticks, but never thought of a snake skin. I guess I wouldn't as we don't get snakes like that around here.
